Owembabazi Shalom (ID# 514)

Shalom is the first born in a family of 4 children and she is the only girl in the family. She stays with her parents who are both HIV positive, and her mother is mentally unstable. They live in a small plot of land and therefore don’t have a place to grow food for consumption and therefore have to first rent land for farming. Their father tries to sell pancakes in town to earn a living. She says that her dream career is becoming a nurse and help her family, and she hopes for a sponsor to help her, so that she can go to school regularly and work for that dream.
