Akanduhura Promise (ID# 499)

Promise has really gone through a hard life. Her father died of AIDS when she was very young and then her mother remarried and abandoned her. She has stayed with her grandmother since that time and is the one who provides everything at home. She looks stressed but is a happy girl and likes schooling. She is very helpful at home and appreciated by her guardian at home for her productive involvement in doing home chores. Her dream is to become a nurse so that she can attend to sick needy people who cannot support themselves.
